RISMEDIA, May 22, 2007-NRT Incorporated has announced the promotion of Budge Huskey to regional senior vice president of NRT’s Florida region. Stepping into Huskey’s former role as president and chief operating officer for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, Inc. in Florida will be Clark Toole. Toole held a similar role in overseeing NRT’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage company in Dallas/Ft. Worth. With this announcement, Sue Meyer has been promoted to president of NRT’s Dallas/Ft. Worth-based company, where she previously held the role of regional vice president
In this new role, Huskey will oversee NRT’s Florida region consisting of more than 100 Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate offices and 6,100 sales associates. In delineating Florida as a distinct region, Huskey will focus on NRT strategic initiatives while Toole will oversee day-to-day operations.
Since joining NRT in 1997, Huskey has played a key role in the growth of NRT’s Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Florida. He has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility within the organization, including branch manager, district manager and regional vice president. As past president and Realtor of the Year for the Orlando Association of Realtors, and a past director and committee chairperson for the Florida Association of Realtors, he has been involved with both state-wide and national industry initiatives.
“Budge’s exemplary leadership skills have been proven over the last few years as he successfully navigated his company through market pressures that included multiple hurricanes, property tax and insurance issues and a growing but depreciating inventory,” said Judy Reeves, NRT’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. “I am confident that Budge’s business acumen and strategic vision will successfully guide our operations through any future challenges that may arise.”
Toole, who began his real estate career in Florida in 1975, has served as president of NRT’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage company in Dallas/Ft. Worth since 2003. During his tenure as president, he created a new sales culture by focusing on skill development at every level of the company’s 19 locations and nearly 1,400 associates. Prior to that, he was president of NRT’s Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate operations in Tampa Bay and Sarasota Bay, where he oversaw 37 offices and 1,850 sales associates in a four-county area. He is also a past-president of the Clearwater Association of Realtors.
“Clark’s ability to successfully integrate multiple cultures brought together through numerous acquisitions turned a struggling operation into a fiscally strong and unified company that includes some of the industry’s top sales associates,” said Reeves.
Meyer earned her real estate license in Illinois in 1985 and moved to Florida in 1987 where she managed several leading Coldwell Banker offices over the years. She joined NRT’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage operation in Texas in 2004, where she has worked with the office managers and the executive team to help the company become one of the leading residential brokerage companies in the area.
“Sue’s extensive experience as a branch manager and regional vice president will be invaluable in her new role as president of NRT’s Dallas/Ft. Worth company,” said Reeves. “Her dedication to the professional development of local leadership, combined with her ability to refine the business practices in the branch offices will be instrumental to the continued growth and success of the company.”
