RISMEDIA, Oct. 1, 2007-Oakwood Worldwide, a global temporary housing and serviced apartment provider, will make a significant corporate donation at the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council’s (ERC) Global Workforce Symposium held October 24 to October 26 in Denver, Colorado.
Oakwood’s contribution will benefit the Foundation for Workforce Mobility, ERC’s research and charitable arm. The Foundation provides funding for the study and education on issues of interest to business leaders responsible for maintaining a mobile workforce, as well as charitable giving to organizations including the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“Oakwood is well known for entertaining our clients at each ERC, and we will continue to do so once a year, at the spring ERC,” says Oakwood Worldwide’s SVP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Chris Ahearn. “However, at this fall’s conference, we want to invest in ERC through a special gesture that reflects our support and thanks to this dynamic partnership. So instead of having a large party, we are delighted to make a donation, which we are confident will be directed to well-deserving local, regional and national charities and further the Foundation for Workforce Mobility’s important contributions to the relocation industry. We look forward to hosting our big event next spring.”
According to the company, as an attendee at the symposium, Oakwood will highlight its increased global presence that reflects its global reach and capabilities. The company will showcase its impressive list of current and future openings, including the Oakwood Premier in Tokyo, Japan; the Oakwood Apartments Beijing in Beijing, China; and the Oakwood Residence Naylor Road in Pune, India. Later this year, Oakwood will open six additional properties in India, China, Indonesia and Thailand.
