He is a veteran professional, with 30 years experience and a long line of prestigious awards including Sales Manager of the Year for the Albuquerque Board of Realtors and Realtor of the Year for the Hobbs Board of Realtors.

Upon receiving the award, Terry said, “I am happy to receive the award on behalf of the whole team at Coldwell Banker Legacy. I encourage all those who missed this year’s conference to attend in 2009. It will be a great opportunity to share and learn from our peers.”

Mike Carter, co-owner of Coldwell Banker Legacy states, “I believe Terry Towndrow is one of the major assets in our company, responsible for making Coldwell Banker Legacy the fifth highest producing Coldwell Banker affiliate in the nation.” Carol Johnson, President of the Recruiting Network said, “Terry and his company have a long history of sharing recruiting and retention ideas that contribute to elevating the level of professionalism in the industry. This is even more important in light of the negative publicity our industry in experiencing.”

Joe Dabbs, VP of Operations of Metro Brokers GMAC in Atlanta, GA, the 2007 Recruiter of the Year recipient, chaired the award committee which also included the 1998 winner, Mark Re, VP and GM of Gallinger Realty USA, in Syracuse, NY, and Linda McKissack, Regional Director/ Broker/Owner/ of Keller Williams Realty: McKissack Group headquartered in Flower Mound, TX.

Nominees submitted applications and recruiting materials prior to an intensive interview. The committee looked for innovation, forward thinking, creative ideas, interaction with their management team and the use of new and untapped resources.

When Joe Dabbs presented the award, he stated, “The size of the company is not a deciding factor. We are looking for innovative leadership and Terry is all about showcasing his team and getting them involved in the strategic process. ” Mark Re added, “Terry Towndrow’s humility, willingness to share, and unabashed persistence, I personally found to be refreshing. It was obvious to our committee that he has the attitude and systems in place to ensure his ongoing success!” Linda McKissack commented that, “His recruiting style comes from the heart and at the end of the day it’s all about relationships. We found him to be very prepared with meaningful scripts and dialogue that would appeal to recruits at every level.”

Terry outlined his program in a keynote talk titled, “How to Recruit with a Smile on Your Face.” It focused on building recruiting plans, obtaining management participation, and keeping it both fun and productive. He will further discuss his program and how you can apply it on June 2nd, 2008 on a Recruiting Network Teleclass titled “Coordinating a Company-Wide Recruiting Plan.” Teleclasses like this are held every month, but are exclusive to Recruiting Network members.
