RISMEDIA, August 12, 2008-PCMS Consulting, the full service real estate and franchise industry consulting firm founded by Jose Perez, announced its expansion into international markets. PCMS has retained the services of Alfonso Gordon, the former chief operating officer of ERA Franchise System’s master franchisee in Spain. According to the company, Gordon has been heavily involved in international real estate markets for the past 10 years in other high level positions with Century 21 Spain and Coldwell Banker Europe. He began his real estate career as a real estate agent in Madrid in 1998.PCMS says the company has notably compiled an impressive team of professionals with combined experience of over 150 years. This was not lost on Gordon, “I had planned on starting a company in Europe to offer services very similar to what PCMS is already offering. When I saw the team they had put together and the clients they were working with, I decided it was better for me to help bring their services to large international players than to go it alone. In addition, because of the real estate recession in the U.S., combined with the weak dollar, there are many investors wanting to acquire real estate and real estate related businesses in the U.S. With Jose and his team operating on a national level with real estate brokerages and franchisors, we also feel there are many opportunities in this area.”
As it continues to grow and the industry takes notice, several of PCMS’ consultants have been sought out to speak at different functions in recent months:
Jose Perez, president and founder of PCMS, recently spoke about the state of the real estate industry at a financial analyst panel in New York City hosted by Gearson Lehman Group’s Real Estate Industry Council. He has also been invited to speak at RISMedia’s Leadership Conference in New York in September regarding cost cutting strategies;
Rich Rector, PCMS’s Recruiting and Management Coach, has been a regular speaker on the topic of recruiting at various national and regional meetings over the past few months;
Senior Business Consultant, Kathleen Teare, will be speaking at Realty Executives’ Mid-America Conference in September about broker profitability issues; and
PCMS’ Growth Coach, David Layne, spoke at the National Association of Realtors Mid Year Conference on housing for people with disabilities in May, at WWOCAR, the second largest Realtor board in Michigan, on producing in challenging times in June, and at AlignMark’s “Ask the Expert” series in July. That event was focused on recruiting and brokerage company acquisitions and he was joined by Rich Rector and George Slusser, Senior Business Consultant and PCMS’ mergers and acquisitions expert.
When asked about PCMS’ place in this challenging market, Perez says, “We are proud of the team we have assembled and humbled by the response we are getting from the industry. We occupy a unique position in an industry that is going through a significant transformation and are very pleased to have the opportunity to guide our clients through these historic times.”
