RISMEDIA, Oct. 13, 2008-Realogy Corporation, a global provider of real estate and relocation services, announced that three of its brand networks – CENTURY 21®, Coldwell Banker® and ERA® – were recognized by Franchise Times as being among the top 200 U.S.-based franchise companies across all industries. This is the ninth consecutive year that these three Realogy brands have been recognized in the Franchise Times Top 200 Franchise Systems.
In worldwide sales, Franchise Times ranked Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC as the No. 1 real estate franchise company (No. 12 overall across all industries), followed by Century 21 Real Estate LLC in the No. 2 slot for real estate (No. 31 overall). ERA Franchise Systems LLC was ranked No. 4 among real estate brands (No. 83 overall).
By office locations, Franchise Times ranked the Century 21 network as the No. 1 real estate franchise in units (No. 12 overall). Coldwell Banker ranked as No. 2 among real estate franchises by units (No. 26 overall). ERA placed No. 3 in units among real estate franchises (No. 31 overall).
With regard to the number of international office locations outside the United States, Century 21 ranked No. 6 overall among all franchisors, with ERA ranking No. 17, and Coldwell Banker at No. 24.

According to the latest National Association of Realtors® Profile of Real Estate Firms, 88% of franchised real estate firms reported that their franchise affiliation improved their name recognition.
Additionally, 72% stated that their affiliation contributed to an increase in profits, and 83% noted a beneficial impact on their ability to acquire listings. The repeated inclusion of Realogy’s real estate brands in the “Top 200” list speaks to the success of the franchise business model in the real estate industry.
