MRIS, Jan. 5, 2008-Your listings may be displayed on various websites including real estate advertising sites such as Realtor.com, other broker’s sites, or your own website. Only the broker of record can determine where the listings may be displayed. Here are some of the programs that facilitate the display of listings on websites:
IDX (Internet Data Exchange) Broker’s listings in an Active or Contingent status may be displayed on another broker’s (or their licensee’s) website if the broker participates in IDX. A broker participating in IDX agrees to allow listings to be displayed on other broker’s websites, and may display listings of other brokers participating in IDX on his website. IDX is all or nothing. If a broker participates in IDX, then he must allow his listings to be displayed on other broker’s websites who participate in IDX. A broker who does not participate in IDX can not display listings of other brokers. Click here to see if you broker participates in IDX.
Real Property Advertising (RPA)
MRIS helps you advertise your listings on various advertising websites. The list of websites that participate in RPA is available here on the MRIS website. The broker of record determines which website their firm’s listings are sent to. Click here to see if your broker participates in RPA.
