RISMEDIA, April 9, 2009-Century 21 Real Estate LLC, the franchisor of one of the world’s largest residential real estate sales organizations is pleased to announce that 2008 contributions made by members of the CENTURY 21® System exceeded $2.5 million. With this year’s contribution, the CENTURY 21 System has raised nearly $98 million on behalf of Easter Seals since the inception of its philanthropic partnership.
“CENTURY 21 brokers and agents across the nation have championed Easter Seals since 1979, and we are so grateful for the continued support,” said James E. Williams, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Easter Seals. “Contributions from the CENTURY 21 System have allowed Easter Seals to help people living with autism, military service members and veterans, older adults and young children realize dreams and accomplishments never thought possible.”
“We are so proud to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our philanthropic partnership with Easter Seals this year,” said Thomas R. Kunz, president and chief executive officer of Century 21 Real Estate. Giving back to our local communities is a critical part of the CENTURY 21 System’s culture. I have been involved with Easter Seals fundraising since the CENTURY 21 System named Easter Seals as its official national philanthropic organization 30 years ago. We are making a difference in people’s lives, and I look forward to meeting our goal of raising over $100 million for Easter Seals.”
