RISMEDIA, April 30, 2009-Real estate website Zillow.com announced the launch of the Zillow® iPhone App, bringing Zillow’s rich data on 88 million U.S. homes to the streets, and into users’ hands. Using GPS technology, the Zillow iPhone App pinpoints a user’s location on a dynamic map and shows Zestimate® values and information on all surrounding homes, moving and updating with the user as he walks or drives through a neighborhood.
Homeowners, buyers and sellers have researched more than 52 million individual homes on Zillow.com since the site’s launch in 2006, which is more than half of all homes in the country. This same data on all homes is now available on the Zillow iPhone App, including: Zestimate home values, home details and historical data on 88 million U.S. homes – 95% of all homes in the country; details, photos and contact info for 3.4 million for-sale listings – for sale by agent and for sale by owner; data on recently-sold homes and Zillow’s exclusive Make Me Move® listings, which reflect at what price an owner would consider moving.
“Researching homes and house-hunting is inherently a mobile experience,” said Rich Barton, Zillow co-founder and CEO. “The GPS-enabled iPhone un-tethers our Zillow users from their computers and puts the power of our database of 88 million homes in their hands when they need it most – while they are looking at homes.”
