RISMEDIA, August 6, 2009-Amid the housing crisis, a newfound importance has been placed on developing functionalities to market homes. One of the most recent of these tools, and what might be lauded as a breakthrough in the way homes are sold in the future, is a new Internet-based service called MyHouseIn3D, developed in part by its co-founder Scott Pearl.

MyHouseIn3D is the first company of its kind to offer homebuyers and renters the ability to view true-to-size virtual 3-D walkthroughs of homes and rental properties, realizing the open house experience online; and for homeowners, agents and builders to create innovative 3-D walkthrough tours of their properties, and leverage this low-cost, high-value solution to attract prospects and leads, generate additional offers, and potentially increase the selling price of a home-sometimes, even before a house is built.

“What we offer has been available to builders, but was costly or time-consuming and did not allow the average homeowner or real estate agent to economically market a home with this technology,” says Steve Higgins, client services director at MyHouseIn3D. “We wanted to make this 3-D technology available to the public, at a price that can be easily integrated into the average home sales or rental marketing budget.”

“The result is a system that delivers an innovative way to showcase a home. It is as simple as sending a hand drawing of a floor plan on a napkin. The MyHouseIn3D team will do the rest,” added Pearl.

In fact, the new website has already helped facilitate the transaction of a range of properties, including everything from small one-bedroom apartments to multi-million dollar homes with private elevators. “The bottom line is MyHouseIn3D will help realtors sell more homes,” says Jay Mussan-Levy, CDPE, Realtor-Associate at RE/MAX Champions, who successfully sold a home two days after implementing the tool into his marketing efforts. “It helps realtors generate leads, impresses sellers, and acts as a conduit to sell more homes. It also impresses buyers and lets them see potential in a home.”

“MyHouseIn3D will help both the realtor and builder sell homes quicker, for a faster rate of return on their sale,” says Michele Catena-DeRocker, Realtor-Associate with Robert DeFalco Realty, who recently had MyHouseIn3D create a 3-D virtual walkthrough of an elaborate $4 million waterfront home.

Jason Garrett, Realtor-Associate at RE/MAX Champions and owner of, states, “Many properties, while they seem attractive, are distressed, vacant, or do not show well with traditional virtual tours. The MyHouseIn3D technology is so realistic, and is great for attracting buyers and sellers.”
