RISMEDIA, October 19, 2009—Cartus Corporation, one of the premier providers of global employee relocation and workforce development solutions, held its ninth annual Global Network conference, entitled ‘Simply the Best.’ More than 400 Cartus Network members- a record-breaking attendance figure- from approximately 180 companies in 44 countries were present at the annual event, which recognized extraordinary service by network members in serving Cartus’ customers and clients worldwide.
“The annual Global Network Conference brings together the finest service providers in the relocation world and offers a forum for them to learn from one another,” said Traci Morris. “This year, ‘Simply the Best’ offered an educational experience for our service providers and celebrated the power of their association with Cartus.”
The 2009 lineup of awards reflected record numbers of winners. Winners included:
-The Cartus Cup, which recognizes the service providers of the year, was presented to New World Van Lines and Dwellworks Destination Services.
-The Masters Cup, which recognizes continued exceptional performance of previous Cartus Cup winners, was presented to Budd Van Lines.
-Commitment to Excellence awards, recognizing service performance, were presented to 147 companies in Platinum, Gold, and Silver achievement categories.
-Voice of the Customer awards that recognize outstanding performance results on specific client accounts were presented by Cartus to a combined total of 20 of its most outstanding suppliers.
-Impact awards, which recognize those network members who have gone above and beyond in delivering service to clients and customers, were presented to Parsifal Corp. and UNIRISC.
-Supplier Quality Innovation awards were presented in Gold and Silver categories to 31 companies that had submitted initiatives generating proven service or cost-savings results.
In addition to attending the formal awards dinner, attendees heard keynote addresses from both Kevin J. Kelleher, Cartus president and CEO, and Traci Morris, Cartus executive vice president, global operations and supply chain management. Both executives welcomed the “best of the best” relocation service providers and shared their insights on navigating the challenges of the global business environment, issues for the relocation industry, and the opportunities ahead for Cartus and the Global Network. Attendees also participated in workshops presented by Cartus Director, Global Performance Solutions Stephane Brahy on “Working Effectively Across Cultures,” and by Kathi Feczko, Mike Brannan, and Bill Wilson-all of whom are general managers and senior vice presidents of client services at Cartus-on “Customer Service to Customer Experience.” Attendees also benefited from learning circuit roundtables on a variety of relocation-related topics.
