RISMEDIA, December 7, 2009—The Corcoran Group, one of New York City’s largest residential real estate firms, announced the official release of a real estate app the company developed for the Apple iPhone. The app is available for free and immediate download at www.corcoran.com/iphone.
According to the company, the Corcoran iPhone app is the first developed by a residential real estate brokerage in the New York area. The app offers users an interactive platform to perform real estate searches in each market Corcoran serves, which includes Manhattan, Brooklyn, the East End of Long Island and South Florida. App users are able to view full photos, pull property information and contact the listing agent directly from the listing via phone or e-mail. The internal GPS of the iPhone pinpoints the user’s location and lets the user know how far away a listing is as well as the best routes (via car, walking and public transportation) to get there. Another feature that sets the Corcoran application apart is the “Get Out Nearby” option, powered by BlackBook. When activated, this function finds local restaurants, shops, bars and nightlife in and around the listing’s location, providing the user with important lifestyle information about a surrounding neighborhood.
To promote this new marketing tool, Corcoran is launching a stylish new advertising campaign around the application. A series of graphic illustrations by Swedish artist Kari Moden communicate the many features and capabilities of the Corcoran app. The ads will appear in national and local newspapers and magazines as well as in phone kiosks throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. In addition, the ads will have a strong online presence.
