RISMEDIA, December 7, 2009—Every year, the Sarasota Association of Realtors® (SAR) recognizes a handful of valuable leaders and singles them out as strong examples of how to make a difference in the lives of others. Carla Rayman and Patricia Tan of Prudential Palms Realty were recently recognized with the 2009 SAR President’s Award for their unwavering devotion to the concept of broadening and expanding the local real estate industry into the entire world.
Rayman and Tan teamed up a couple of years ago at Prudential Palms Realty to drive the brokerage’s International Division to new heights. During the same time period, they have led the SAR International Council, planned numerous trips abroad to promote the Sarasota real estate industry and local community, scheduled SAR courses, forums and programs on international real estate, and planned and promoted three successful SAR International Real Estate Congress events.
As this year’s recipients of the SAR President’s Award, Rayman and Tan understand the phrase, “Think global, act local,” and live it in their professional and even private lives. These women have made numerous trips to the United Kingdom, Spain and France in the past few years, and Rayman also journeys regularly to Central America, where she is working with counterparts in Panama and Costa Rica on real estate ventures. For Rayman and Tan, their interest in international real estate doesn’t stop with their own business. They want to educate and enlighten the SAR membership on the potentially lucrative business contacts available to them overseas and south in the Americas. This has been their calling for many years now, and has brought the world’s attention on the relatively small community of Sarasota on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
