RISMEDIA, January 20, 2010—The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) announced its 2010 initiatives recently that include a new membership program, the launch of a multimedia website and the debut of NAHREP CONNECT, one of the first social networks for Hispanic real estate professionals. The 10-year-old Hispanic trade group also disclosed plans to add new members to its ranks this year with a strategic plan that targets top Hispanic markets where it already has chapters.
NAHREP is stepping up its communication with members with the introduction of new multimedia Web content that includes video interviews and podcasts with industry leaders, plus a new leadership blog and NAHREP CONNECT, one of the first-ever social networks that is geared specifically to Hispanic real estate professionals. All forums will address the Hispanic market, issues that face Hispanic home buyers and market trends.
“Now more than ever our members need the connectivity and strength of our network to be at their fingertips,” said Tino Diaz, NAHREP’s current chair. “NAHREP has created new ways for members to connect and get info from leading experts through our website and share market intelligence that will help them build their businesses.”
The association has also unveiled two new membership tiers: a free associate membership and a platinum-level membership. Associate members now get free access to the group’s new multimedia website content and social network NAHREP CONNECT. Platinum-level members, who must complete NAHREP’s Code of Trust “En Confianza” certification and pass an application review process and be a full-paying member in good standing, will become part of a national directory and have access to NAHREP’s VIP events, trainings and business development opportunities. NAHREP will begin accepting applications for Platinum memberships with the launch of the password-protected members-only Web section to follow in second quarter of the year.
