Trying to service your current clients while staying front of mind with your past clients can be quite time-consuming. Just ask Dan McDevitt.
McDevitt, a REALTOR® with Advance Realty Concepts in Baltimore County, Maryland, knows this very well.
“I always try to have as many touch points as possible,” says McDevitt, who’s been in real estate for the past six years. “That’s why I use Lowe’s Inside Out e-newsletter. It helps me stay in front of my entire contact database.” Inside Out offers Lowe’s Program for REALTORS® members the ability to automatically send their entire client base a personalized, monthly e-newsletter with information on buying, selling and moving tips.

These days, McDevitt says he’s starting to get busy, which is just one more reason he’s thankful for the Inside Out e-newsletter. “When you get busy, it’s hard to follow up all the time. The newsletter’s helped me turn some cold leads into warm leads and I didn’t really have to do anything.”
McDevitt says the e-newsletter is successful with his clients because there’s real value in it—for both himself and his clients. “There’s obvious value in the periodic coupons,” he says. “And for me, I get a response from people at least 60-70% of the time. You can’t beat that.”
For McDevitt, one agent’s loss is his gain. He says he’s seen what happens when you don’t keep in touch with your clients.
“I hear it over and over again. People will say, ‘I didn’t continue with my agent because they didn’t continue the relationship with me’,” he says. “That’s just proves the point that something like the Inside Out e-newsletter is such an important, yet easy, thing to provide and keep you top of mind.”
