RISMEDIA, June 25, 2010—Gloria Nilson, Realtors, Real Living is the new name for well-known Gloria Nilson GMAC Real Estate, operating in New Jersey’s Monmouth, Mercer, Ocean and Middlesex counties. This name change reflects a newly established affiliation with Real Living, one of the real estate industry’s first consumer lifestyle brands.

According to the company, the new name and new relationship represent a comprehensive re-branding campaign set in motion to benefit customers and sales associates alike, and also reflect a new standard in residential real estate sales. Many of the state’s real estate companies have contracted during the past two years, but this Gloria Nilson, Realtors, Real Living investment marks a significant expansion of a New Jersey real estate entity, putting the company in a position of strength as the market stabilizes and begins to strengthen.

The trigger for the name-change came in November 2009, when GMAC Real Estate merged with Real Living. While Gloria Nilson, Realtors, Real Living remains locally owned–by SCS Realty Investment Group, LLC, headed by Garden State real estate leader Richard “Dick” Schlott–the three-decade-old company now enjoys access to a more comprehensive, integrated suite of resources and services.

While the Schlott name is not part of the new branding, his influence runs deep throughout the company. Schlott began his real estate career in 1969 as a sales associate in his hometown of Wyckoff, NJ and opened his first office two years later. When he sold that company–Schlott Realtors–in 1991, the brokerage spanned five states with more than 130 offices and 4,500 agents. He later went on to become CEO of GMAC Home Services which opened the door to his acquisition of the Gloria Nilson company.

“Home sellers and buyers are very brand-conscious,” Schlott explains. “So, leading real estate companies are increasingly joining franchises. This re-branding program is an ideal fit–we have always been a consumer centric company, and now we have even more resources and a larger network to allow our agents to continue to assist consumers through all the changing demands of the marketplace.”

Based in Columbus, OH, Real Living is a full-service real estate brokerage franchise company offering an exceptional suite of resources and state-of-the-industry technology and information services. In 2005, Real Living received special recognition from Entrepreneur Magazine, and also was presented the prestigious Inman Innovator Award. The Real Living network features more than 600 offices, 10,000 real estate professionals and $20 billion in sales.

Updated signage bearing the new company name and logo will go into circulation during the second half of June.
