RISMEDIA, March 22, 2011—Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, honored the last two years on the Training magazine Top 125 list, has launched an online learning portal for managers and brokers called Managing Broker Academy. The announcement came at the recent Coldwell Banker Generation Blue Experience, the brand’s international conference.

“Interactivity and engagement are key components in modern learning, and we are thrilled that the new learning portal gives our network an opportunity to create a balanced business strategy. They can supplement in-person and face-to-face training with videos, podcasts and social learning tools, so our affiliated managers and brokers can further propel their businesses,” says Budge Huskey, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC. “We also believe the key to a successful real estate operation lies with office managers. And we have come up with a unique way to teach, inspire and empower managers to coach today’s real estate agents, while strategically managing their business for maximum profitability.”

At no additional cost to Coldwell Banker affiliates, the company reports, this learning portal opens as a virtual Coldwell Banker office where students are greeted by a helpful avatar to guide them to key collaborative educational sections such as: Online Discussion Groups and a Broker Blog, where they can engage with industry experts. The office lobby also has a real-time news feed and a collection of timely streaming videos on a back wall monitor.

The virtual office continues with two doors titled Career Development (long-term educational planning) and Training & Resources (timely educational tools) that open to allow managers to expand their experience. In the Career Development room, students fill out a personal development plan and work with a virtual counselor to create their professional development roadmap. The Training & Resources room features core categories for growth including: Productivity & Profitability, Leadership, Recruiting & Retention, Training & Coaching and Business Planning.

According to recent data collected by Coldwell Banker University:
