RISMEDIA, April 18, 2011–Glenn R. Niere has been appointed president and COO for Coldwell Banker United, Realtors® Carolinas Region, effective April 18.

With more than 27 years of leadership experience, Niere brings expertise in business management and marketing to 23 offices throughout the Carolinas.

Before joining Coldwell Banker United, Realtors, Niere served as President and then CEO of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty and its predecessors.  He began his real estate career as a Sales Associate with Russ Lyon Realty Company, which was founded in 1947. After four years he was appointed as a Senior Branch Manager for the firm in Scottsdale, Ariz. During his tenure in that position, he grew the office from 90 to 140 Sales Associates.

Niere was recruited to drive a start-up, luxury real estate company in Scottsdale, Ariz. In that capacity, he was instrumental in opening five branch offices, hiring three managers, recruiting over 250 Sales Associates, and developing a complete marketing program and the company website. That company affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty and later merged with Russ Lyon Realty Company to become Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty.
