Obeo, a leading provider of online real estate virtual tours and real estate in North America, announced a new search engine optimization (SEO) feature to help brokers and agents win the battle for their listings.
Studies show that 96 percent of homebuyers are researching properties online. The competition for these online homebuyers is fierce! Unbranded listings are being marketed to these homebuyers all over the internet, by many different parties without control by the broker and the agent. Many brokers and agents feel cheated by this. They are tired of losing commissions to their competition, tired of being asked to “buy back” your own leads, and they want to take control back by driving consumers to their branded sites, not the competition’s. Obeo’s new SEO tool will do just that, the company states. It will drive traffic to the listing’s home site, branded with the agent/broker contact information.
When searching for “real estate” on Google, you will get 2.2 billion page results. With that many results, buyers need to use specific terms to narrow their results, and to find what they are looking for. They may use the name of the community they want to live in, or even the development subdivision. Buyers may search for specific features they are looking for in the home or local nearby attractions. According to the company, Obeo’s goal is to make sure the broker/agents’ listings rise to the top of these search results, and directs the consumer back to their site, not the competition’s.
According to the company, Obeo’s new SEO tool allows brokers and agents to enter specific “keywords” on their Obeo bio page and for each of their Obeo “Homesite Virtual Tours.” These additional keywords will be added to the generic keywords Obeo had been using to help increase the SEO for their clients. When Obeo clients add custom keywords and phrases into their Obeo Members Area, these keywords and phrases will be embedded into their Obeo bio page and their Obeo HomeSite virtual tour. In addition, Obeo states they will create a free high definition video for every listing, tag that video with the keywords and phrases, and export the video to YouTube.
