Rob Barber, CEO of Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR), a leader in property-specific environmental information and risk management solutions, recently announced the launch of the EDR City Directory Image Report. “We are thrilled to launch city directory images,” says Barber. “EDR’s mission is to continually improve our services based on customer feedback, and the City Directory Image Report represents our dedication to that mission.”
City directories are an important historical source as part of compliance with the ASTM E1527-00 Standard Practice for Phase I Assessments. They provide a record of changes in property occupancy at specific locations, enabling the evaluation of potential liabilities on a property resulting from past activities.
EDR notes that their team of professional researchers, with over 100 years of combined experience, accesses key repositories to perform comprehensive city directory research on target and adjoining properties.
The city directory images, offered in all 50 states and covering 75 percent of customer properties, provide environmental professionals with an unprecedented level of accuracy, the ability to better identify adjoining properties, and the necessary permissions to reuse images in Phase I reports. This new service will also reduce research costs and increase efficiency. “It’s like going to the library without having to go to the library,” says Nick Coffey, president of Coffey Geoscience LLC.
