The REALTORS® of Calcagni Associates Real Estate, New Haven County, Conn.’s leading independent real estate brokerage and member of RISMedia’s Real Estate Information Network® (RREIN), had a good reason to dress up for a recent event. Led by REALTOR® Tara Carey, Calcagni’s Wallingford, Conn. office held a Dress Up Happy Hour Fundraiser on February 23rd at Jake’s Tavern, located on Center Street in Wallingford. The proceeds from the night’s festivities, over $300 plus a $50 gift card to a local department store given by Jake’s, are being donated towards furnishing one of two new townhouse units at the Wallingford Emergency Shelter.
The Wallingford Emergency Shelter, a non-profit organization that provides temporary housing and meals during the winter months to those in need, recently broke ground on a two-unit home, and construction is expected to be completed within the next few months. In addition to the happy hour event, the Wallingford team at Calcagni Associates is also planning on collecting gently used household items to donate to furnish the unit at the shelter.
“Tara and all of the agents on our team have always been involved in causes to benefit those in need in the local community,” says Steve Calcagni, president. “They have done an amazing job of working as a team and to pitch in and make a difference for such a great cause.”
