Richard Smith, CEO of Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS®, the 6th largest real estate company in the United States, has announced recently that Helen Edwards has been promoted to president/chief operating officer for the entire company that serves Texas, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Previously, Edwards served as president/chief operating officer and relocation director of the Austin Region, leading operations for ten offices. In her new role, Edwards will oversee nearly 70 residential branch offices and three commercial branch offices in five states with a sales force of more than 2,000 sales associates and more than 250 employees.

Valerie Lyday, who has been with Coldwell Banker since 1982 and currently leads the Austin region’s Westlake office, will move into Helen’s former position.

Edwards has 30 years of experience in residential real estate, and has been with Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS® since 1991. Prior to her most recent role with the company, she held positions as corporate service manager, relocation director of the Austin Division and vice president of relocation and sales in Round Rock, a suburb of Austin. During her time at Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS® she has led several award-winning teams, and received the industry’s and company’s highest honors for office management and customer service excellence.
