Pillar To Post, North America’s largest home inspection franchise, added 10 new franchises in May. The company is on track to meet its goal of 75 new locations by the end of 2013, with 25 new franchisees so far. Ten new territories were added in the first quarter of the year and another 10 are anticipated in the coming weeks.
“Company expansion continues to gain speed. We doubled the number of franchisees this month compared to last month,” says Dan Steward, president and CEO of Pillar To Post. “With the housing market back on track and showing no signs of slowing down, the long term outlook for home inspectors is bright.”
The new Pillar To Post franchise owners are Josh McDanel of Alton, Ill.; Charles Stanley of Grand Junction, Colo.; Michael Dunphy of Breckenridge and Vail, Colo.; Robert Keeper of San Antonio, Texas; Gerald Robbins of Warren County, N.J.; business partners Mike Davis and Rodney Fryer of Peoria, Ill.; Charles Branch of Richmond, Va.; Kevin Vescovo of St. Louis, Mo.; Don Thorne of Naperville, Ill.; and Tye Tyson who will service San Mateo County, Calif.
According to the Commerce Department, the inventory of new homes on the market rose 3.3 percent to 156,000 units in April – the highest since October 2011. In addition, home sales in April were 29 percent higher than they were a year ago. This market improvement has driven a steady rise in demand for home inspectors.
