Realogy Holdings Corp. recently announced the winning entries from the Realogy Innovation Summit – Powered by Retsly, a live competition for software developers to create new applications for residential real estate held around the clock from Nov. 6-7 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Team Real Kick, comprised of Justin Durack, Andrew Lockhart and Sagar Mehta — a group of developers based in San Francisco, was crowned the winner of the Realogy Innovation Summit – Powered by Retsly for its innovative app created in under 28 hours. Described as a mobile customer relationship management (CRM) tool for REALTORS®, this app sends suggested listings to clients directly via the smart phone app.
The Real Kick app can manage the likes and interests of clients (e.g., commute time) so that listings sent are tailored to individual client needs. Best of all, the Real Kick app is a two-way communication channel between the agent and the client.
“Our goal is to drive innovation in the real estate industry,” says Alex Perriello, president and chief executive officer of the Realogy Franchise Group. “We were impressed by the creativity and functionality of the apps that these teams of developers created in less than two days.”
“It was rewarding for us to hear from the developers that Retsly’s unique API (application programming interface) was so easy to use and made such a high level of productivity possible in this timed competition,” says Joshua Lopour, co-founder of Retsly. “The engagement of Realtor ambassadors from the Realogy brands as a sounding board for developers helped many of the teams change course during the competition, which wouldn’t have been possible without our API.”
