And having detailed professional photos, video tours, mobile-enabled websites and more available at consumers’ fingertips isn’t just good for business, it’s an absolute must.
“If you don’t have a great online presence, you’re shooting yourself in the foot,” says Virginia Munden, sales representative for RE/MAX Legacy Realty, Inc., and social media director for The Wayne Munden Team.
Three years ago, Munden and her team formed a partnership with Obeo, a company that provides solutions to capturing the attention of savvy real estate-searching consumers. Obeo’s HD photos and full-screen virtual tours can be displayed on a listing’s very own website, thanks to the company’s HomeSite marketing platform. The complete website displays listing details along with any other information an agent wants to showcase. In Munden’s case, her company takes advantage of Obeo’s photography and video tours, while giving each of their listings its own personal Web domain.
“When potential sellers see how great the photography is, they want to see what we can offer them for their listing,” says Munden, who praises the work of Obeo’s photographer, Doug Thomson.
