MRIS, the industry-leading Mid-Atlantic Multiple Listing Service (MLS) that facilitates nearly $125 million a day in real estate transactions, announced today that its subsidiary, RealEstate Business Intelligence (RBI), has launched city and subdivision housing statistics for rbiEXPERT customers.
With the addition of city and subdivision data, rbiEXPERT customers can now see critical housing market trends for over 600 cities and 7,500 subdivisions. Subdivisions include 4,100 advertised subdivisions, based on what the area is locally known as, and 3,500 legal subdivisions, based on tax records. To be included in the RBI statistics, subdivisions had to have at least 12 sales in the past two years. RBI also offers housing statistics, such as new listings, active listings, new pending sales and closed sales, for the county and ZIP code level.
“Real estate is an incredibly hyperlocal business. We’ve had many customers ask for housing statistics in the specific neighborhoods they serve,” says Jonathan Hill, President at RBI. “Subdivision data gives these real estate professionals the ability to talk about very granular housing trends with clients and gives them a new tool to promote their expert knowledge in the exact areas they cover to help them do their job even better.”
rbiEXPERT customers can compare critical city statistics to one another with RBI’s Geo Compare function. Geo Compare, which plots core housing statistics on bar or line graphs, enhances the ability to see how a city’s real estate market is trending compared with up to four other geographies. These graphs can be embedded on customers’ websites or shared with prospective clients.
Additionally, RBI now offers a simpler location search for all users. From the RBI statistics homepage, users may type in their search for housing data by region, county, city, ZIP code or subdivision. Previously, users had to select the region from a list of multiple dropdown menus.
