Engel & Völkers North America has announced that Jim Ramsay, former Senior Vice President of Sales, Operations and Field Services for both Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate and CENTURY 21 Real Estate, has joined the international luxury real estate brand as Chief Operating Officer.
“We are extremely happy to have Jim as part of our leadership team,” says Anthony Hitt, CEO of Engel & Völkers North America. “Jim has a proven record of success having managed the operations and growth of two of the biggest brands in real estate. He is well-recognized in the industry and with his experience and leadership is playing a critical role in establishing Engel & Völkers as a leader in the United States, Canada and Mexico.”
In his role as COO with Engel & Völkers North America, Ramsay is responsible for expanding and strengthening Engel & Völkers presence throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. He has already built a highly talented market development team, and leads internal teams in the enhancement of the brand’s service offerings.
According to Tom Kunz, formerly President and CEO of CENTURY 21 Real Estate and now Executive Vice President of Engel & Völkers North America, “Jim is one of the best leaders I’ve had the pleasure of working with. He was in charge of the entire U.S. servicing team when I knew him and was our liaison to our international team. There isn’t a more qualified person for this position and I am proud to be working with him again.”
“Engel & Völkers is like no other real estate company currently in the market and a lot of that has to do with its thirty-seven years of successful expansion and brand leadership everywhere else in the word,” says Ramsay. “Anthony has done a phenomenal job in creating a strong foundation in the major markets here in the U.S., and support coming from the international headquarters in Europe shows a true commitment in succeeding in this global market. I am happy to be part of Engel & Völkers and for the chance to firmly establish the brand as a leader in the industry.”
