MRIS, the Mid-Atlantic Multiple Listing Service (MLS), announced recently it will be launching a new Coming Soon listing status in mid-November. MRIS real estate agents will be able to utilize the Coming Soon status for properties that are not ready to be shown, but will be soon.
By adding this status, listing agents will be able to enter their listing’s information to be viewed within the MLS up to 21 days in advance of the listing becoming Active. In turn, buyer’s agents will have the ability to share information about these listings with their clients to give them a better understanding of their home buying options.
“We believe this new Coming Soon status will allow listing agents the opportunity to create buzz around their listings, while giving them additional time to prepare the property to be shown and marketed,” noted Jon Coile, MRIS chairman of the Board. “The real estate industry continues to evolve, and as a result, our needs as professionals change as well. We feel the new Coming Soon status will increase interest, produce excitement and keep our customers at the center of the conversation.”
Unlike pocket or whisper listings that are marketed outside of the MLS, listings in Coming Soon status are viewable within the MLS by every MRIS subscriber.
