(TNS)—Michael Balzary, the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist better known by his stage name Flea, has paid $2.47 million for a two-story home in LA’s Los Feliz neighborhood.
The Traditional-style residence, built in 1939, occupies a corner lot of about a quarter of an acre with a covered patio, a pool and spa, gardens and a two-car garage. Entered through a double foyer, the living space includes a living room with fireplace, a formal dining room and a cook’s kitchen on the main level.
There are four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and about 3,600 square feet of living space.
The purchase comes roughly three months after the funk-rock musician sold his Mediterranean-style compound in the Griffith Park area for $6 million.
Flea, 52, is a founding member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, winners of six Grammy Awards. He recently appeared in the film “Low Down” (2014) alongside Lena Heady and Glenn Close.
The musician also owns property in Malibu.
