The Eastern Bergen County Board of REALTORS® recently honored Nancy Lastra as Past President and REALTOR® of the Year of the former Meadowlands Board of REALTORS® (MBOR). The REALTOR®of the Year Award honor REALTORS® who have made outstanding contributions to the real estate industry and are recognized as leaders in their local communities. It is considered one of the highest local recognitions a REALTOR® can receive.
“It is a tremendous honor to be awarded the REALTOR® of the Year Award, and I am grateful for the support I’ve received from the REALTOR® family,” Lastra says. “REALTORS® are lucky in that we get to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. I have had great mentors in my career and that has guided my desire to assist and become a resource for others.”
Lastra has been a REALTOR® since 1990 and is currently a manager with Century 21 Eudan Realty in Rutherford. In 2010, in order to best assist clients during their financial hardships, she earned the Certified Distressed Property Specialist certification allowing her to help guide at risk owners from foreclosures. She has been the recipient of the New Jersey Realtors Circle of Excellence Sales Award six times. Lastra has held a number of leadership positions within the REALTOR® organization during her career.

Lastra served on the Board of Directors for the MBOR for 10 years. She was instrumental in organizing the successful merger between MBOR and EBCBOR, which created the third-largest Realtor Association in N.J. and where she will also serve on the 2015 Board of Directors.
