Moneycorp, the international payments specialist, has opened an office in Miami to provide a new resource for international property investors. Designed to assist foreign buyers and sellers with their property payments, the office has already seen early success. Since opening, it is helping to demonstrate to agents in the south Florida market that a forex company can help close deals involving foreign property investors.
The opening of the office coincides with the continued popularity of the Miami real estate market. According to the Miami Association of Realtors, single-family home transactions increased 10 percent year-on-year in March 2015, from 1,129 to 2,242, with existing condo sales rising 4.2 percent year-on-year to 1,472.
“The Miami Association of REALTORS recently revealed that there are more foreign buyers in Miami than in the rest of the US. It therefore made sense to open our new office in a destination that is highly attractive to foreign property investors,” says Kelly Cutchin, Country Manager – USA, moneycorp. “In the short time since opening, we’ve already seen strong demand from real estate agents and foreign investors for our expertise and high quality service.
“Taking into account the popularity of Florida property with Brazilian investors, we have a dedicated account manager working solely with Brazilian realtors, attorneys and investors. However, our remit also covers real estate agents and buyers from areas as far afield as the UK, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
“South Florida’s beaches, climate, amenities and proximity to Central and South America appeal to global investors and we’re delighted that we can help make people’s international property payments as smooth and efficient as possible.”
