Volunteers from Engel & Völkers North America and Engel & Völkers New York City participated in the Fall Invitational softball skills event organized by Special Olympics New York on Randall’s Island Park, New York City.
“We are proud to support Special Olympics and helping to raise awareness and funds,” says Anthony Hitt, CEO Engel & Völkers North America. “We, as an organization benefit as well when we are able to join the local Programs and work with them in events like this to meet and support the athletes directly.”
The athletes participated in the Fall Invitational competing in softball skills events including fielding, hitting, throwing and running.
Engel & Völkers North America’s participation in the event signifies its partnership and support for Special Olympics. Since announcing its sponsorship last March, Engel & Völkers has raised upwards of $30,000 for the organization.
Engel & Völkers North America is the first cause-marketing sponsor of the organization’s Play Unified campaign, which aims to inspire young people around the world to create more inclusive communities for people with and without intellectual disabilities.
