HomeServices of America, Inc. has acquired Gloria Nilson & Co. Real Estate, adding the firm’s 25 offices and over 730 sales associates based largely in Central New Jersey, the company announced on Tuesday. The announcement follows the acquisition of Houlihan Lawrence and the addition of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties, which both took place in January.
Gloria Nilson & Co. Chairman Dick Schlott and President Pat Bell will continue to lead the firm, which will retain its name. The regional leader ranked in the top 500 in RISMedia’s recently released 2017 Power Broker Report for sales volume and transactions.
“We are proud to be part of the HomeServices of America family,” says Schlott. “We are joining an outstanding organization not only known for its exceptional strength and stability but one that shares our commitment to delivering the highest levels of personalized service and support, making this transaction a win/win for our clients, agents, and employees.”
“Gloria Nilson & Co. is a premier company with excellent brand recognition, dedicated sales leadership, and talented agents,” says Ron Peltier, chairman and CEO of HomeServices. “Their culture of service, integrity and community involvement closely aligns with our corporate vision and our emphasis on customer value and results.
“This is an important transaction for HomeServices and we are looking forward to having Dick, Pat and their team join the HomeServices family,” Peltier says.
“HomeServices’ successful acquisition of Gloria Nilson adds an important market to the coverage of their network,” says John Featherston, president, CEO and publisher of RISMedia. “Under the leadership of industry icons Dick Schlott and Pat Bell, Gloria Nilson & Co. Real Estate successfully grew over the past decade into a regional powerhouse.”
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Gloria Nilson & Co. serves Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris and Ocean counties in New Jersey and Bucks County in Pennsylvania.
