Weichert Workforce Mobility, Inc. has named Avrom Goldberg regional vice president and managing director, Asia Pacific, coinciding with the expansion of its presence in the region with the opening of a new office in Shanghai, the company recently announced. Goldberg, a 30-year veteran of the workforce mobility industry, is responsible for leading the company’s strategy in the region.
“Avrom has a solid track record for leveraging his deep local expertise, industry knowledge and longstanding relationships to help multinational companies seamlessly navigate Asia Pacific’s increasingly diverse and complex business landscape,” says Dave Bencivengo, president of Weichert Workforce Mobility. “I can think of no one better qualified to propel our APAC growth, and I’m confident he’ll have an immediate impact on our business.”
“With the addition of Avrom and the opening of our Shanghai office, we’ve significantly enhanced our ability to support both multinational clients looking to take advantage of China business opportunities and local corporations tackling talent mobility issues,” says Lawrence Mahmarian, senior vice president of Global Operations for Weichert Workforce Mobility.
“I’m excited to join a company where integrity and innovation are not just buzzwords, they’re part of their organizational DNA,” says Goldberg. “Weichert’s expanding APAC presence and resources will not only ensure the high caliber service for which Weichert is justifiably known, but it will also enhance the superior consultative strategies available to clients in-region to help them keep mobility aligned with their workforce goals and objectives.”
The Shanghai office, which complements existing offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, enables the company to provide greater local resources and expertise to companies moving talent into, out of and across China. The office is located in the central Huangpu district in the Bund Center, one of the city’s most recognizable buildings.
