The Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® (HGAR) and the Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) have agreed to form a multiple listing service (MLS) for the New York metropolitan area, covering 36,000 subscribers in Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Nassau, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Rockland, Suffolk and Westchester counties. The associations expect it will be greenlit within the next six months.
“A primary objective is to create a seamless flow of data for brokers and agents within the New York Metro area,” says Richard Haggerty, CEO of HGAR.
“The new MLS would improve services, resulting in operational efficiencies, increased economies of scale, and enhanced technology that will enable members to better serve the buying and selling public,” says Joseph Mottola, CEO of LIBOR.
The agreement was first posed in June 2017.
