Engel & Völkers has announced it has entered Turks and Caicos, on the island of Providenciales. Prestigious Properties, the biggest brokerage on the island, will now operate as Engel & Völkers Turks and Caicos, and continue to be led by Washington Misick, a businessman and politician, along with Phillip Misick, company director and shareholder, and Chuck Misick, company director and licensed real estate advisor. The brokerage serves all Turks and Caicos Islands, including Providenciales, Grand Turk, North Caicos, Middle Caicos, South Caicos and Salt Cay.

“Our business has a highly successful track record, but being aware of global trends, we knew we needed to gain access to a powerful international network in order to best serve today’s homebuyers and sellers here in Turks and Caicos,” says Washington Misick, who has 40 years of experience in real estate. “Paired with its unmatched standards of personalized service, Engel & Völkers offers our listings critical global exposure, especially as we see demand for condos, villas and vacation homes steadily increase across the islands. As our market is poised for growth, the time is right to affiliate with Engel & Völkers.”

“The real estate market in Turks and Caicos has seen tremendous growth over a short period of time,” says Anthony Hitt, president and CEO, Engel & Völkers Americas. “The islands are easily accessible, gaining huge attraction from feeder markets in the northeast of the U.S., Miami and Charlotte, yet provide a peaceful and private upscale environment. The miles of pristine beaches, warm climate and economic conveniences that come with being a British Overseas Territory make Turks and Caicos uniquely desirable to international buyers. Washington, Phillip, Chuck and their entire team embody the passion for excellence that defines Engel & Völkers.”

Washington Misick has served in several positions within parliament, most notably as Chief Minister from 1991-1995 and Minister of Finance, Trade and Investment from 2012-2016. Phillip Misick is a developer and professional real estate consultant with over 30 years of experience, and Chuck Misick is a certified architectural technologist and construction manager with nearly a decade of experience as a licensed real estate agent.
