Bright MLS Chief Strategy Officer David Charron will assume an advisory role with the organization on August 1, allowing him to continue to serve in several senior industry leadership positions, including as chair of the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) and the MLS RoundTable, as a director at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), and as president of MRIS Investors, Inc.
Charron was instrumental in the bringing together of 43 REALTOR® Associations to consolidate nine MLSs into Bright MLS, one of the largest MLSs in the nation.
“David’s contributions to Bright MLS and the industry are invaluable and helped us innovate the industry in ways that many thought was not possible,” says Tom Phillips, CEO/president of Bright MLS. “Throughout his professional career, David has contributed countless innovative ideas, championed MLS consolidation and provided strategic guidance that has contributed to our growth. We celebrate this milestone with David and are excited to continue our work together in his new role.”
“It has been a true pleasure working with Bright’s team of industry experts to bring its vision to life,” says Charron. “There is tremendous opportunity to continue to grow Bright’s footprint and help real estate professionals improve their business, and I look forward to continuing the company’s great work and accomplishing even more together.”
Charron, formerly CEO and president of MRIS, Inc., has over 35 years of experience in the industry. He was the first-ever recipient of the CMLS Peter Shuttleworth MLS Executive Award of Excellence, given to MLS executives who have observed the highest qualities of leadership in their own organization. Charron is also a recent recipient of the 2018 Visionary Award by T3 Sixty, as well as a recipient of the National Homeownership Award from RISMedia.
