An inaugural real estate event hit the conference circuit last month. From April 9-10, 500 women attended “She’s Unstoppable Live” in Dulles, Va. The female-centric conference attracted visitors from across the U.S., Canada, and more.
The two-day event—themed “Once Upon a Time” to recognize that women have big dreams when they obtain their real estate license—promised “the best of the best” in the industry: top brokers and agents, industry influencers and business-building experts.
Panelists shared strategies to help these dreams become reality through learning and working consistently and efficiently. Sessions throughout the day covered a wide variety of topics, including scalability, powerful storytelling, social media, video marketing, and, of course, women in real estate.
Keynote speaker Dottie Herman, CEO of Douglas Elliman, addressed the audience on opening day. Introduced by Bravo TV’s Million Dollar Listing LA star Tracy Tutor, Herman recounted her inspirational rags-to-riches story, teaching the importance of having a vision and achieving goals without fear.
“Don’t be afraid of what people think or say…stay focused on where you’re going,” Herman said.
At the end of the first day, a cocktail reception and the First Annual LivyGirl Awards took place, honoring women who have given back to their communities and who have grown as business owners.
The event’s organizers were Judy Weber, Esq., real estate SUCCESS Coach and co-founder, vice president and general counsel of Livy Brynn LLC; and Jan Copeland, CEO, sales strategist and real estate coach at Livy Girl Success Boutique.
“We’ve received nothing but extremely positive feedback,” Copeland said of the event. “There was definitely a different feel to this event…positive, uplifting and hopeful about the future!”
“If I had to sum up ‘She’s Unstoppable Live’ in one word, it would be ‘WOW’ because that’s what we heard over and over again from the attendees,” said Weber.
The location of next year’s event has not yet been determined; however, Copeland stated “it’s time we headed west.” As with the inaugural event, organizers believe these future conferences will also be “jam-packed with learning, networking and shopping (and, of course, girly glitz, glamour and fun).”
