Matt Widdows worked hard to make 2022 an incredible year of growth for HomeSmart, from expansions, to recruiting and franchise sales efforts, to new programs and offerings.
In January 2022, the firm acquired Houston-based brokerage Champions Real Estate Group and its more than 1,800 agents, which brought the company’s network to nearly 25,000 agents and over 200 office locations across over 40 states. This year, the firm also rolled out the Agent Equity Program, which was allocated $10 million, to grant agents restricted stock units for every licensed real estate agent they refer to the brand.
“I am working to revolutionize the real estate industry through technology. The fact that we are making real estate better for all involved–no matter what the market–is what’s most rewarding for me,” says Widdows. “As the industry continues to change, we adapt our tech stack to keep up.”
