How to Keep White Walls White

White walls give your home a fresh, classic feel—but keeping them white is another story. The following suggestions may help.

Invest in quality paint. Choosing a higher quality paint can keep your walls from yellowing or graying. Talk to the pros at your local home improvement store for a good interior white.

Consider a paint sealer. This is especially helpful for kitchen and bathroom walls that come in contact with a lot of moisture (bathroom) or grease (kitchen).

Work a wipe down into your cleaning routine. Once a month, wipe down your white walls with a sudsy sponge. Working this into your home-care routine will keep your walls looking white, and free of allergenic dust.

Touch it up. To keep your walls looking crisp, touch up any knicks or scuffs as soon as they appear. Keep some extra paint on hand and fill in any dings as soon as they occur.
