7 Luxe Hotels With Swim-Up Suites

While there’s no shortage of South-of-the-Border resorts, some lovely hotels offer swim-up suites that are worth checking out for your next getaway. After all, there’s a certain “aah” factor in being able to relax by the pool without having to pack a beach bag full of essentials and make the trek to it.

All you need to do when you’re ready to swim is take three steps outside your hotel room. The pool is basically part of your room, and while it isn’t necessarily private, it is immediately accessible. If that sounds good, the vacation mavens at House Beautiful list seven hotels that fill the bill at a cost, with few exceptions, of under $500 per night:

Finest Playa Mujeres. Set among the white powder sands of Playa Mujeres, Mexico, this is the place to go to be mesmerized by turquoise waters. It’s an indulgence that will leave you feeling zen-centered.

Excellence El Carmen. An all-adult resort located on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, the resort sits on a beach that looks like someplace out of a dream. With its beautifully inspired Caribbean architecture, it’s a real treat.

El Dorado Casitas Royale by Karisma. Located in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, this is the go-to destination for seaside weddings or a true romantic getaway.

Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun. With its 435 spacious suites, this one has plenty to keep the kids happy, as well as an adult pool, tennis court and spa. It’s a great family getaway.

Sensatori Resort Punta Cana. With designer interiors and great views, this Dominican Republic resort has daybeds on the beach, a theater and a sports complex that will tempt you to extend your stay.

Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar. Ideal for those who haven’t been to the Dominican Republic, this resort has an outdoor spa, several tennis courts, and a shopping mall where you can shop ’til you drop before relaxing in your swim-up suite.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla. This hotel offers marble floors, rainfall showers and 14 restaurants with endless options for any foodie.
