Teresa Palacios Smith, HomeServices of America’s chief diversity, equity & inclusion officer, expanded two YouTube and podcast series, Diversity MATTERS and Women Who Lead, in 2024. She also moderated and presented at several panels related to DEI and real estate, and introduced the Diversity Champions Award to celebrate the work of the HomeServices Family of Companies Diversity Councils and DEI leaders nationwide.

Palacios Smith explored ways to use artificial intelligence to support REALTORS® and contributed to Allan Dalton’s book “Buyer Be Aware” last year. In addition, she submitted a successful grant request to the HomeServices Foundation for Housing Equity, and worked to strengthen partnerships in real estate and adapt to changes in the industry.

“Whether it’s championing diversity, training our agents in DEI or amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities, I’m driven by the opportunity to create meaningful change,” says Palacios Smith.

“Witnessing the ripple effect of this work—how it influences individuals and helps shape inclusive environments—is what motivates me every day. There’s nothing more fulfilling than knowing that my efforts are helping others thrive, both personally and professionally.”
