RISMEDIA, Jan. 9, 2007-NRT announced the promotion of Frances A. Broude as president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Chicago and Milwaukee.
Broude most recently served as executive vice president and general sales manager since 2004, and in other senior management positions with the company for the past eight years. In 2005, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage accounted for approximately $13 billion in sales volume, nearly twice as much as its next closest competitor in the Chicagoland area, according to REAL Trends.
"Fran has been an integral part of our executive leadership team in Chicago for 10 years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position," said Bruce Zipf, president and chief executive officer of NRT.
"For the past several years, she has been largely responsible for running the day-to-day operations of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Chicago and Milwaukee, one of the largest brokerage firms within our national family of companies. Throughout her nearly two decades in the real estate industry, Fran has consistently worked with passion, enthusiasm and integrity. I have a great amount of confidence in Fran and her ability to lead Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage into the future."
Broude joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in 1998, after the company acquired Burnet Realty, where Broude was responsible for the firm's operations in Chicago's Northwest suburbs. In her new position, she will be responsible for leading the company's 67 offices and 4,700 sales associates.
"Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage will continue to build upon its position as a market leader in the years ahead by offering our clients and sales associates unparalleled service, and the most advanced technology and global marketing available," said Broude.
A lifelong resident of suburban Chicago, Broude received a degree in business administration from the University of Miami. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois for the past four years.
Broude's appointment follows on the heels of the resignation of Doug Ayers, who previously served as president and chief operating officer.
