RISMEDIA, Jan. 22, 2007-Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation named Carol McManus as its senior vice president for real estate operations. She will oversee Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation field services, education, events, awards and recognition programs, along with several broker profitability initiatives which benefit the more than 3,500 Coldwell Banker® affiliated offices around the United States.
This marks McManus' third stint in the Coldwell Banker corporate office. Prior to spending the last year as vice president for learning development and infrastructure for the Realogy Franchise Group, McManus served as senior director of education for Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation from 2002-2005.
McManus has spent the majority of her 35-year real estate career involved in the Coldwell Banker System. After starting as a sales associate in Washington, D.C., in 1971 and eventually owning her own real estate firm there, McManus joined the Coldwell Banker organization in 1981 as branch manager in Gaithersburg, Md. She also helped open offices in ten major Northeast markets before becoming the national training director for the Coldwell Banker organization. She then served as chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker McCormack in Hawaii from 1988 through 1995 before turning around two key Coldwell Banker company-owned offices in Georgia and Connecticut prior to joining Coldwell Banker Real Estate Corporation.
McManus is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the American Society of Training and Development, the Real Estate Educators Association, the Corporate University Exchange and the Masie Consortium.
McManus earned her undergraduate degree from American University and has done graduate work in Business Administration at George Washington University, the University of Hawaii and The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
