RISMEDIA, Feb. 7, 2008-Mortgage Services Unlimited (MSU), a mortgage lender headquartered in Dallas, has joined Metrocities Mortgage, a nationwide lender based in Southern California, effective February 1, 2008.
Tom Sherman, founder of MSU, has been named a senior vice president at Metrocities. Located across three states, MSU branches will retain their names and operate as a division of Metrocities Mortgage.
According to the company, founded in El Paso in 1994, MSU began with a staff of three. By 1999, it had moved its central operations to Dallas and ranked among the city’s top 25 lenders. The company has a longtime affiliation with Keller Williams offices and operates in-house mortgage centers at Keller Williams locations in Texas, New Mexico, and Tennessee.
“MSU’s move to Metrocities is a plus for our company, the real estate agents we work with, and most importantly the customers we serve,” said MSU Founder Tom Sherman. “Metrocities is the national leader in the ‘one-stop shop’ concept that puts mortgage and real estate under one roof.”
“We’re thrilled to have MSU and Tom Sherman onboard,” said Metrocities CEO Dick Loeffler. “Our companies’ cultures are a great fit, and Tom will bring tremendous expertise and enthusiasm to our executive team.”
