Leading Move’s global team of engineers and IT staff, the company says that d’Almada-Remedios will direct the company’s strategic and tactical technology initiatives, driving the development of solutions to successfully meet consumer needs in a rapidly evolving market. d’Almada-Remedios will be based at Move’s Northern California office in Campbell, California.

Dr. d’Almada-Remedios will leverage his expertise in Web portal design and operations at Move by building and leading teams responsible for the functionality, performance, scalability and reliability of the company’s platforms that support its websites and operations. He’ll also be responsible for establishing and managing key alliances to further support Move’s category dominance, as well as contribute to the rapid introduction of cutting-edge real estate technology solutions.

Prior to joining Move, Dr. d’Almada-Remedios was the chief information officer (CIO) at eBay and Shopping.com and served as a member of the technology board for eBay, PayPal and Skype. At Shopping.com, he led cross-functional workgroups responsible for defining and building next-generation search, catalog, classification and product platforms, increasing software engineering productivity, site stability and scalability. Dr. d’Almada-Remedios achieved similar accomplishments at lastminute.com and Travelocity, where he served as CIO prior to joining eBay.
