In 2006, Lofts at Mayfair won a gold medal for architecture at the BEST awards sponsored by the BASF. Reinaldo Borges, of architecture firm Borges & Associates accepted the award on behalf of developer Christa Development Corporation. John Casey, president of Christa Development Corporation, said, “Modern architecture and urban design help to crystallize the live-work concept, which makes this project so exciting for South Florida.”
The top 43 projects and organizations globally were recognized that evening, for setting new industry standards and contributing to the community’s growth. The black-tie dinner Gala benefited the Miami Rescue Mission and was hosted for Chairmen, Presidents, CEOs and Business Owners in the real estate development and building industries.
