RISMEDIA, April 30, 2008-Homes.com, a division of Dominion Enterprises, and Zillow.com announced that they have entered into a listing agreement that allows all Homes.com hand-entered property listings to be fed directly to Zillow.com at no additional cost to the agent or broker. Zillow.com joins Vast, Google Base, Oodle.com, HarmonHomes.com, Trulia, Propbot.com, Yahoo Real Estate and Bargain Network as the latest listing distribution channel for Homes.com agents and brokers.”This partnership is just one example of our ongoing efforts to provide Homes.com customers with the most effective means of marketing their listings to multiple consumer destinations while providing the convenience of managing their distribution from one central location,” explains Jason Doyle, vice president of Homes.com.
According to the two companies, the partnership, which began in January with both companies adopting a new data format standard for listing distributions, has evolved over the past few months and officially took effect today, with the first listing feed of more than 105,000 Homes.com active property listings exported to Zillow. While future data discussions are in the works, both Homes.com and Zillow are focusing on the agent and consumer benefits at hand.
“As we continue to build our listings feed program, we’re excited about the addition of a leading online real estate portal, Homes.com, to our partner network,” said Jorrit Van der Meulen, vice president of partner relations at Zillow.com. “By giving our users more choices during the home search process and making it easier for agents and brokers to get their listings in front of Zillow’s 5 million monthly users, everyone wins.”
