RISMEDIA, May 20, 2008-Terry Towndrow, Director of Career Development at Coldwell Banker Legacy in Albuquerque, NM, was honored as the 2008 Recruiter of the Year at the 18th Recruiting Network Conference in Scottsdale, AZ.
Towndrow was recognized for being an integral part of the strategic development and innovative systems used to expand the 9 office, 675-agent firm. He is a veteran professional, with 30 years experience and a long line of prestigious awards including Sales Manager of the Year for the Albuquerque Board of Realtors and Realtor of the Year for the Hobbs Board of Realtors.
Upon receiving the award, Terry said, “I am happy to receive the award on behalf of the whole team at Coldwell Banker Legacy. I encourage all those who missed this year’s conference to attend in 2009. It will be a great opportunity to share and learn from our peers.”

Nominees submitted applications and recruiting materials prior to an intensive interview. The committee looked for innovation, forward thinking, creative ideas, interaction with their management team and the use of new and untapped resources.
When Joe Dabbs presented the award, he stated, “The size of the company is not a deciding factor. We are looking for innovative leadership and Terry is all about showcasing his team and getting them involved in the strategic process. ” Mark Re added, “Terry Towndrow’s humility, willingness to share, and unabashed persistence, I personally found to be refreshing. It was obvious to our committee that he has the attitude and systems in place to ensure his ongoing success!” Linda McKissack commented that, “His recruiting style comes from the heart and at the end of the day it’s all about relationships. Terry outlined his program in a keynote talk titled, “How to Recruit with a Smile on Your Face.” It focused on building recruiting plans, obtaining management participation, and keeping it both fun and productive. He will further discuss his program and how you can apply it on June 2nd, 2008 on a Recruiting Network Teleclass titled “Coordinating a Company-Wide Recruiting Plan.” Teleclasses like this are held every month, but are exclusive to Recruiting Network members.
