RISMEDIA, January 12, 2009-ShowingTime, one of the real estate industry’s leading showing management technology providers, announced that the North Carolina Mountains MLS (NCMMLS), located in Fletcher, N.C., has chosen ShowingAssist and ShowingDesk Web Edition as the foundational tools for establishing a new in-house showing service for its 3,000 REALTOR® members.
The combined technology platform will enable NCMMLS to offer members 24/7 showing management. They can request showings anytime they’re logged into the MLS, or contact the call center during business hours to schedule showings.
“The Board of Directors felt that this extremely important service should be brought in-house to better control costs and enhance the benefits provided to REALTORS® and their clients,” said Douglas W. Kenny, Executive Director of NCMMLS. “We anticipate hiring locally, both full- and part-time individuals, with real estate and call center experience,” he added. The new service is expected to be up and running by the end of March.
“We’re very pleased to have ShowingAssist and ShowingDesk Web Edition serve as the foundation for the North Carolina Mountains MLS,” said Michael Lane, ShowingTime’s Executive Vice President. “It is satisfying to know ShowingTime can provide the necessary tools for MLSs and associations to build in-house call centers. We anticipate helping more and more MLSs combine these technologies to streamline the showing process.”
The low-cost ShowingAssist service is currently live in 37 MLSs and 73 Associations. It will enable NCMMLS members to request showings while logged into the MLS by clicking a ‘Schedule a Showing’ button next to listings. ShowingDesk Web Edition, the real estate industry’s most popular front desk scheduling software, is licensed to more than 6,000 offices nationwide. It will be used by NCMMLS’s call center to manage showing requests from agents who call in. The two products will equip NCMMLS members to request showings, get feedback, generate activity reports and serve clients more effectively.
