RISMEDIA, March 5, 2009-William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty www.WPSIR.com, recently made donations to the Bennett Cancer Center and St. Luke’s LifeWorks. These gifts were part of a company-wide charitable effort on the part of WPSIR and its new partner, Building and Land Technology www.BLToffice.com. After taking a private equity stake in the well-respected real estate brokerage firm at the end of 2008, BLT allocated funds to each of WPSIR’s twenty Connecticut offices for discretionary giving.
WPSIR principals L. Casey Jones and Paul E. Breunich stated they were thrilled to be cobranding with BLT and most pleased that their new partner shared WPSIR’s sense of civic responsibility. “In the spirit of the gift,” according to Paul Breunich, “we felt our local managers and their dedicated agents could best determine where the dollars would do the most good in each of their communities.”
Rob Vannucchi, director of sales of WPSIR’s Stamford offices, said “While there are so many worthwhile charities, considering how many of our agents have been personally affected by cancer, the Bennett Center was the logical choice.” He continued, “Since our professional mission is to help people find the home of their dreams, and for many their dream is simply shelter, St. Luke’s LifeWorks is an equally worthy recipient of our donations.”
